At the same time as Pride celebrations take place all over the world, the FIFA World Cup is being hosted in Russia, one of over 70 countries where same-sex relations are not allowed.
In the face of this, a small group of creative activists from Brazil, Spain, Russia, The Netherlands, United Kingdom and United States have teamed up to create a one-of-a-kind-jersey. A global symbol of equality and acceptance.
Despite progress, there are still many places in the world which do not accept LGBTQ+. Some are openly hostile, like in Russia. Or even the sport of soccer, where homophobic chants are not uncommon. Making it difficult or even dangerous to express your true self.

With the World Cup being held in Russia during the month of PRIDE, we launched a rainbow jersey made using the strips of the national teams that played the championship with a badge on the arm that said ‘we belong to the same team’.
